The Woman River System is a unique multi species fishery consisting of a tremendous population of Walleye and Northern Pike. Our waters also abound with Lake Trout, Whitefish, Smallmouth Bass, Yellow Perch and Burbot making the Woman River Chain a fantastic place to land the lunker of a life time! The Woman River System is a continuous well-sheltered easily traveled waterway. It stretches north for over 50 miles and consists of 11 lakes, with countless bays, islands, fishing structure and a seemingly endless shoreline. Water depths vary reaching depths of 120 feet. Fish structure is endless and is suitable for any fishing technique. Weedbeds, sunken islands, drop-offs, current areas, the Woman River System has it all.

Our fishery is considered one of the best in Ontario. This is attributed to Woman River Camp being a leader in fishery management and conservation. Endorsed by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, our pledge to release all larger fish, ensures our trophy fish and breeding stock remain in the water. This provides us with an outstanding fishery for you to enjoy today and into the future.

For those of you who are like us and enjoy a great shorelunch, take advantage of our newly constructed shorelunch sites. Woman River Camp has shore lunch sites within short distances of great fishing holes. The sites are easily accessible and come complete with fish cleaning tables and propane outdoor cookers. Nothing like eating your catch by the water's edge!

Boats - Woman River Camp operates clean, comfortable sixteen foot aluminum boats powered by reliable 25Hp Yamaha motors. Each boat is equipped with swivel seats, cushions, anchor, paddles, Canadian Coast Guard approved safety kits, measuring/release troughs, and a fish friendly rubber net. Deluxe fishing boats are available. Ask about our free boat control lessons!

New for 2007 Our fleet will have some new 20 HP four stroke motors. Better fuel consumption and no smoke! We will also be opening a couple new portage lakes!
