Ice fishing with us at Woman River Camp will be one of the coolest fishing trips you take!  Pristine snow covered lakes in the rugged Canadian shield.  Remoteness!  Where the fish are plentiful and tasty!

For winter accommodations, we use cabins 4, 8 and 9.  The air tight wood stoves and propane lights make the experience cozy and rustic.  The generator is not running in the winter so we utilize our outhouses (heated) and fetch water from the lake for doing dishes.  Drinking water is supplied.

Our ice fishing trips can be designed to suit a fishermen who likes to do it themselves or be guided.  We access numerous lakes by snowmobile, ATV and snowshoes.  We do fish Little Bear Lake where Woman River Camp is located but most of our adventures take us anywhere from 3 Km to 50Km from camp.  Sometimes we leave camp on snowmobiles and ride directly to a lake.  Other times, if the roads are plowed, we will trailer the sleds to an access point then ride into a lake.  We travel with a portable ice hut to keep us mobile and on top of fish.  Snowmobiles are not absolutely necessary but they do enhance the experience!  Rentals are available through our dealer.

We fish for Walleye, Lake Trout, Northern Pike, and Whitefish.  Incidental catches of Perch and Burbot happen depending on the lake we are fishing.
